Cluckin' Bell

Cluckin' Bell is the fictional fried chicken chain of Grand Theft Auto. It first opened its doors in San Andreas (2004), where Carl Johnson can eat its meals, and returns in GTA IV, Chinatown Wars, GTA V and GTA Online. GTA Wiki names KFC as its main target, with touches of Taco Bell. In GTA V its restaurants are closed, but its Paleto Bay factory later hosts an Online heist.

What is Cluckin' Bell in GTA?

Cluckin' Bell is the chicken counterpart to Burger Shot in the series' fast-food landscape. The name blends a hen's cluck with Taco Bell, and GTA Wiki says the chain mostly sends up KFC, while its logo and adverts borrow from Taco Bell. The 3D-era page also mentions possible nods to Popeyes and Chick-fil-A.

The two eras give it different backstories. GTA Wiki dates the 3D-universe company to 1982 and the HD-universe one to 1917. In the HD games the mascot is Cluck Norris, a pun on the martial artist Chuck Norris. Short taglines recorded by GTA Wiki include "Cock-a-doodle-do" and "110% meat".

How does eating at Cluckin' Bell work in San Andreas?

In San Andreas, the chain is one of the places where Carl Johnson can refill his health and stave off hunger. The counter offers four set meals: Little, Big, Huge and a Salad option. Every meal except the salad adds body fat, so a steady diet of chicken changes how CJ looks and moves. As with other shops in the game, prices in Las Venturas run 20% higher, according to GTA Wiki.

GTA Wiki counts twelve outlets in San Andreas: three in Los Santos, two in San Fierro, four in Las Venturas and three out in the countryside. In Liberty City Stories the chain exists only as a billboard for a chicken wrap; there is nowhere to eat.

Can you eat at Cluckin' Bell in GTA IV and GTA V?

In GTA IV several Liberty City branches are open, and a cheap Fowl Burger costs $1 and restores health. The brand also turns up in Episodes from Liberty City and Chinatown Wars.

GTA V closes the doors. The restaurants can be seen but not entered. Instead, the chain's presence is its factory, Clucking Bell Farms, in Paleto Bay, and branded trailers that roam the highways of Blaine County and Los Santos.

What is the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid?

The Paleto Bay plant became a setting in GTA Online. GTA Wiki says the factory first featured in a Business Battle around 2020. In 2024 it was the target of The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, a multi-part job in which a cartel is using the plant as a front. GTA Wiki reads this as a nod to Los Pollos Hermanos from Breaking Bad.
