Devin Weston is a billionaire investor and one of the two main villains of Grand Theft Auto V (2013), next to the FIB agent Steve Haines. He first hires the three protagonists, then cheats them and wants them dead. In the canonical ending he is kidnapped and killed by the trio. Jonathan Walker voices him, according to Wikipedia.

Who is Devin Weston?

Devin Weston is a very rich investor in Grand Theft Auto V. Wikipedia calls him a billionaire venture capitalist and corporate raider. The GTA Wiki adds that his money sits in hotels, drinks brands and many other firms, and that he holds a large stake in Merryweather Security, the private military company he uses to protect his interests.

He is smug, impatient and used to getting his way. His lawyer and right hand, Molly Schultz, handles much of his business, and the GTA Wiki says he counts the FIB agent Steve Haines as a close friend. That link to Haines is what ties him to the game's final act.

What does Devin Weston do in GTA V?

Weston enters the story as a client. The GTA Wiki says he hires Trevor Philips and Franklin Clinton to steal five expensive cars for him, then refuses to pay them in full. He also wins favour with Michael De Santa, who has started working in the film business in Vinewood.

The friendship does not last. According to Wikipedia, Weston tries to shut down the studio where Michael is producing a film. The GTA Wiki explains that he hoped to sink the picture, called Meltdown, to collect insurance money. Michael stops the plan, and Molly dies during a chase at the airport. Weston blames Michael and swears revenge.

From then on he is an open enemy. The GTA Wiki says he sends Merryweather soldiers to Michael's house to kill his family, and the attack is beaten off. Wikipedia notes that Weston is still after Michael when Haines and Dave Norton go to Franklin with their demand, which sets up the final choice.

What happens to Devin Weston in each ending?

Franklin must choose between three paths, covered in our page on the endings of GTA V. Weston's fate depends on that choice:

Wikipedia states that if Franklin spares both friends, the trio kill Weston along with Haines, Wei Cheng and Stretch. The GTA Wiki describes how it happens: Trevor locks him in the boot of his own car, and the car is pushed off a cliff into the water in Blaine County. The same source says Rockstar later treated this ending as canon in GTA Online.

Who voices Devin Weston?

Wikipedia names Jonathan Walker as the voice of Weston. The GTA Wiki says Walker also did the motion capture, and that while he recovered from a bicycle accident Robert Bogue, the voice of Haines, briefly stood in for the capture work.
