Sprunk is the fictional soft drink of Grand Theft Auto, a green lemon-lime soda first seen in Vice City (2002). It returns in GTA IV, Chinatown Wars, GTA V and GTA Online. GTA Wiki says it mainly parodies Sprite, with branding nods to Coca-Cola and 7 Up. In the HD games The Sprunk Company also owns the cola brand eCola.

What is Sprunk in GTA?

Sprunk is the soda you see everywhere in the series: on billboards, delivery trucks, vending machines and race cars. GTA Wiki lists Sprite as the core target, with the diet version modelled on Sprite Zero. The old cursive logo echoes Coca-Cola, and the HD-era look borrows from 7 Up. Spin-offs include Sprunk X-treme and the energy drink Sprunk Fuel.

Short slogans collected by GTA Wiki include "The Essence of Life" and "Overclock your life" for Sprunk Fuel.

Which GTA games feature Sprunk?

The brand dates back to Vice City and has been part of every HD game since. In GTA IV, bottles cost $1 at newspaper stands, empty cans can be picked up and thrown, and Sprunk logos are painted on box trucks. In Chinatown Wars it appears on billboards and as a skin for the in-game PDA in some versions.

What does Sprunk do in GTA V and GTA Online?

In GTA V, Sprunk vending machines are back, and the company trades on the in-game BAWSAQ stock market under the ticker SPU. GTA Wiki notes a small joke reward: following the brand's page on the in-game social network earns a free drink from a machine. Several vehicles and outfits come with Sprunk liveries.

GTA Online added Sprunk Fuel with the Arena War update, and Sprunk sponsorship liveries remain a common cosmetic choice. See GTA vehicles for the wider car line-up.

Is Sprunk the rival of eCola?

Not quite. eCola is the series' Coca-Cola parody, but GTA Wiki points out that eCola cans say they are made under the authority of The Sprunk Company. So the two fizzy drinks share an owner, much like real soft-drink giants owning several labels.
