Truffade
Truffade is a fictional French luxury car maker in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. The GTA Wiki says it is based on Bugatti, and its logo copies the Bugatti badge. Its most famous car is the Adder, a Veyron-style hypercar sold in GTA V from its 2013 launch.
What is Truffade in GTA?
Truffade is a small but expensive brand. Where Grotti and Pegassi sell dozens of models, Truffade has only a handful, all of them very fast two-door coupés. Its name comes from a French dish of potatoes and cheese, a joke on the brand's French setting.

Is Truffade based on Bugatti?
Yes. The GTA Wiki lists Bugatti as the influence, and every Truffade model follows a real Bugatti, from a 1930s classic to modern hypercars. The badge is also drawn to look like the Bugatti emblem.
What cars does Truffade make?
| Model | Real inspiration (GTA Wiki) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Adder | Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport | In GTA V and GTA Online |
| Nero | Bugatti Chiron | Added in the Import/Export update for GTA Online |
| Nero Custom | Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo | Upgraded Nero, same update |
| Z-Type | Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic | Pre-war classic |
| Thrax | Bugatti Divo | GTA Online |
The Adder is the model most players know. Like the Veyron it copies, it is a heavy, very fast car built for straight-line speed. The Nero came later, mirroring the move from the Veyron to the Chiron in the real world.
When did Truffade first appear?
Truffade first appeared in GTA V in 2013 and continues in GTA Online. In-game, the Legendary Motorsport website dates the Z-Type to 1937, so the fictional company is old even if the brand is new to the series. Benny's Original Motor Works adds another in-joke: its site claims the Nero was tested on an undersea track.
