Pegassi is a fictional Italian maker of supercars, motorbikes and scooters in Grand Theft Auto. The GTA Wiki calls it a mix of Lamborghini and Pagani for cars and Ducati for bikes. It first appeared in GTA IV (2008) and builds the modern Infernus, the Zentorno and the Oppressor Mk II.

What is Pegassi in GTA?

Pegassi is one of the two big Italian performance brands in the HD-era games, alongside Grotti. Its catalogue covers wedge-shaped supercars, concept-style hypercars, sports bikes and small scooters. The name most likely comes from Pegasus, the winged horse of Greek myth, and the badge shows a horseshoe flanked by wings.

Which real brands is Pegassi based on?

The GTA Wiki describes Pegassi as a blend of three Italian makers: Lamborghini and Pagani for the cars, and Ducati for the motorbikes. The wiki also points out a coincidence. Lamborghini bought Ducati in 2012, four years after Pegassi had already put both kinds of vehicle under one fictional roof in GTA IV.

What are the best-known Pegassi vehicles?

The Infernus is the link to the older games. The car name goes back to GTA III, and in the HD era it became a Pegassi built along the lines of the Murciélago. The Zentorno and Osiris are top-end supercars in GTA V and GTA Online, and the Bati 801 superbike appears across GTA IV, GTA V and GTA Online.

Not every Pegassi is a road car. The Faggio scooter is a cheap runabout, and the Oppressor and Oppressor Mk II are GTA Online bikes with weapons. The Mk II can fly and has its own article. For other two-wheelers see GTA motorcycles.

When did Pegassi first appear?

Pegassi debuted in GTA IV in 2008 and also appears in Chinatown Wars, GTA V and GTA Online. The GTA Wiki notes that the brand name is misspelt as Pegasi in some of the GTA IV audio files.
