Complications is an early story mission in Grand Theft Auto V (2013). Simeon Yetarian sends Franklin Clinton to take back an SUV from the De Santa house in Rockford Hills. Michael De Santa is hiding in the back seat, holds Franklin at gunpoint and makes him drive it through Simeon's showroom window. Michael then beats Simeon, and becomes playable.

What is Complications in GTA V?

Complications is the third of Simeon Yetarian's repo jobs in Grand Theft Auto V and comes after Repossession. It is the mission where Franklin Clinton and Michael De Santa properly meet, and after it the player can switch between them. See our GTA V missions list for the full order.

Who gives Complications?

Simeon, the dealer from Franklin and Lamar, is busy with a customer outside Premium Deluxe Motorsport. He tells Franklin to recover a yellow BeeJay XL that he sold to Jimmy De Santa, the young man he was manipulating in the earlier mission. On the drive Simeon also rings to complain about the motorbike Franklin failed to bring back last time.

What happens in the mission?

At the De Santa house in Rockford Hills Franklin knocks out the gardener and creeps through the kitchen to the garage without letting the family see him. He takes the SUV and heads back towards the dealership.

On the way a gun appears at his head. Michael has been waiting in the back seat. He questions Franklin about who sent him, then orders him to drive the car straight through the showroom glass. Michael pushes some cash at Franklin and sends him off, and control passes to Michael for a fist fight with Simeon. Once Simeon is beaten, Michael warns him to leave his son alone.

What do you get for completing Complications?

These details come from gta.wiki. It adds that Lamar later texts Franklin to say the motorbike from Repossession is at his aunt's house, where it can be kept.

Why is Complications important?

Wikipedia's plot summary of Grand Theft Auto V describes this as the point where Franklin meets Michael while trying to repossess his son's car, and the two later become friends. Michael's habit of turning a crime into a lesson for the younger man begins here and carries on into Father/Son. The mission also introduces the De Santa family home that much of Michael's story revolves around.

Gta.wiki notes a small joke for those who return to the dealership afterwards: Simeon's own name replaces Franklin's on the Employee of the Month plaque.
