Officer Eddie Pulaski is one of the main antagonists of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004). He is Frank Tenpenny's partner in the corrupt C.R.A.S.H. unit of the Los Santos police and helps force CJ into doing their dirty work. CJ kills him in the desert in the mission High Noon. He is voiced by Chris Penn.

Who is Eddie Pulaski?

Eddie Pulaski is a police officer in Los Santos and a member of C.R.A.S.H., the anti-gang unit led by Frank Tenpenny in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The GTA Wiki calls him Tenpenny's right-hand man and enforcer. Where Tenpenny talks, Pulaski threatens; he is the more openly aggressive of the two.

The third member of the unit is Jimmy Hernandez, a newer officer whom the other two pull into their crimes. The GTA Wiki notes that Big Smoke mocks Pulaski as Tenpenny's "Polish lap dog", a reference to his background.

What does Eddie Pulaski do in the story?

He is there from the start. In "In the Beginning", Tenpenny, Pulaski and Hernandez pick up CJ on his return and frame him for the murder of a police officer. From then on the unit uses that threat to make CJ work for them.

The GTA Wiki lists Pulaski in missions such as "Running Dog", "Wrong Side of the Tracks" and "Catalyst", where he is seen alongside Big Smoke and Ryder. In "The Green Sabre" he is part of the meeting that exposes the betrayal of the Grove Street Families, and the unit then drives CJ out of the city.

How does Eddie Pulaski die?

Pulaski dies in "High Noon". C.R.A.S.H. calls CJ out to the desert in Bone County. According to the GTA Wiki, Hernandez, who has been informing on the unit, is killed after he turns on Pulaski. Pulaski then flees by car, CJ chases him down, and after a last exchange in which Pulaski insults Kendl, CJ kills him.

Who voices Eddie Pulaski?

The actor Chris Penn voices Pulaski. Wikipedia's article on Penn lists the role in San Andreas, and the GTA Wiki gives the same credit. Penn died on 24 January 2006, according to Wikipedia.

Why is Eddie Pulaski remembered?

His death is the moment CJ stops being the unit's errand boy. "High Noon" is the first time CJ strikes back at C.R.A.S.H., and it removes Tenpenny's main muscle well before the finale.
