Grand Theft Auto VI is the next main game in the series from Rockstar Games. It comes out on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is set in Leonida, a fictional US state whose main city is Vice City, and follows two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar has not announced a PC version.

When does GTA 6 come out?

Rockstar's official site gives 19 November 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game was first aimed at 2025, then moved to May 2026, then to the current date, which Rockstar announced on 6 November 2025. A PC version has not been announced. Where is GTA 6 set?

In Leonida, a fictional US state. Rockstar's site calls Vice City "the darkest side of the sunniest place in America". Wikipedia and several outlets describe it as based on Florida. Its biggest city is Vice City, the series' take on Miami, last visited in Vice City and Vice City Stories. Rockstar has named six regions. Who are the main characters in GTA 6?

The two playable leads are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal pair often compared to Bonnie and Clyde. Rockstar has also published profiles for Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Rockstar has not confirmed any voice actors. How many GTA 6 trailers are there?

Rockstar's site lists four videos: Trailer 1 (December 2023), Trailer 2 (May 2025), An Extended Look (August 2026) and the Launch Trailer (October 2026). Dates, songs and view records are on GTA 6 trailers.

What do we know about gameplay and online?

Rockstar has confirmed features such as dynamic weather, radio and podcasts, and shops for clothes, tattoos and cars. Hands-on previews in 2026 reported more, such as switching between the two leads. Development

According to Wikipedia, early work began after GTA V, and full production started around 2020. Rockstar confirmed in February 2022 that development was well underway. In September 2022 a hacker leaked about 50 minutes of early test footage, and Rockstar later said in court that the breach cost it US$5 million.
