GTA Online: Los Santos Tuners
Los Santos Tuners is a GTA Online update released on 20 July 2021. It is built around street car culture: a social hub called the LS Car Meet, a reputation system, 17 tuner vehicles, and a new property, the auto shop, which runs both a legal repair business and robbery contracts handed out by the characters KDJ and Sessanta.
What is Los Santos Tuners?
Los Santos Tuners is a summer update for GTA Online. GTA Wiki notes that Rockstar announced it on 15 July 2021, and Wikipedia dates its release to 20 July 2021. Where earlier updates leaned on heists and military hardware, this one turned to modified street cars from makers such as Karin and Dinka. Its tuning parts also reached the story mode of Grand Theft Auto V.
What is the LS Car Meet?
The centre of the update is the LS Car Meet, a members' club in a warehouse on the edge of Cypress Flats. Wikipedia calls it a social space where players show off and test cars and finish challenges to unlock more. GTA Wiki adds that the meet is a safe area, shielded from the fighting of the open world, and that it includes an indoor Test Track with time trials, two-player drag races and a scramble mode for up to four.
Membership comes with a reputation level. Racing, attending the meet and finishing challenges raise it, and Wikipedia says higher levels unlock rewards.
How do auto shops work?
The auto shop is the update's new property, bought from the Maze Bank Foreclosures site at one of five locations, according to GTA Wiki. Wikipedia lists three uses: as a base for robbery contracts, for stealing cars for export, and as a legitimate garage. On the legal side, customers' cars arrive to be modified and must then be delivered back. It sits alongside the game's other businesses, though it does not use the supply-and-sell loop most of them share.
What are the Tuners contracts?
Robbery contracts are smaller jobs than full heists, with a short set of preparation tasks and a finale. Wikipedia says they come from Kenny "KDJ" Dixon Jr. and Sessanta. GTA Wiki lists eight at launch:
Contract
---
The Union Depository Contract
The Superdollar Deal
The Bank Contract
The E.C.U. Job
The Prison Contract
The Agency Deal
The Lost Contract
The Data Contract
Some of these tie into wider lore: the Lost Contract involves The Lost MC, and the Union Depository target recalls the vault from The Big Score.
Which cars came with Los Santos Tuners?
Wikipedia counts 17 tuner vehicles and 14 street races. GTA Wiki says ten could be bought at launch, among them the Karin Calico GTF, Karin Futo GTX, Dinka Jester RR and Dinka RT3000, with the rest unlocked in later weeks, such as the Pfister Comet S2 on 29 July 2021. For the wider vehicle roster, see our GTA vehicles guide.

What is the Media Player station?
The update added a radio station players fill themselves. Wikipedia says collectible music sticks hidden around the map unlock tracks for the Media Player station. GTA Wiki adds that the first batch included mixes from the CircoLoco label and from Detroit DJ Moodymann. Players could also now favourite stations so only those appear on the radio wheel.
