The Lost Motorcycle Club is an outlaw biker gang in the HD universe of Grand Theft Auto. It first appears in GTA IV (2008), is the centre of The Lost and Damned (2009) with Johnny Klebitz, and returns in GTA V as a Blaine County chapter that Trevor Philips tears apart. It is a regular enemy in GTA Online.

What is The Lost MC in GTA?

The Lost MC is an outlaw motorcycle club in the HD universe, the continuity that began with Grand Theft Auto IV. Wikipedia describes Billy Grey as president of the club's Alderney chapter, and Alderney, the series' version of New Jersey across the river from Liberty City, is where the club is based in the 2008 era. GTA Wiki gives black as the club's colour and lists its mottos, one of which runs "Brothers for life, Lost forever".

According to GTA Wiki, the club's own in-game website says it was founded in 1964 by eight US Marines who had met during the Vietnam War, and that they named it after friends killed in the war. The wiki also says the club is modelled on the real Outlaws MC, with its feud against the Angels of Death mirroring the Outlaws' rivalry with the Hells Angels. Wikipedia's article on The Lost and Damned does not name a real-world model, so this comparison comes from the fan wiki.

Who leads The Lost?

In 2008 the Alderney chapter is run from a clubhouse in Acter. GTA Wiki lists its officers as president Billy Grey, vice president Johnny Klebitz, treasurer Jim Fitzgerald, secretary Brian Jeremy, road captain Clay Simons, sergeant-at-arms Terry Thorpe and enforcer Jason Michaels. Johnny takes over as president during The Lost and Damned and, per the wiki, still leads the club in 2013.

What does The Lost do in GTA IV and its episodes?

In the main GTA IV story the club is an obstacle for Niko Bellic. GTA Wiki says Niko kills Jason Michaels in the mission No Love Lost on Mikhail Faustin's orders, and later kills Jim Fitzgerald after a long bike chase in No Way on the Subway, a job for Ray Boccino and Phil Bell.

The first episode, The Lost and Damned, tells the same period from inside the club. Billy comes back from rehab, breaks Johnny's truce with the Angels of Death and drags the club into a civil war. Wikipedia says the story ends with Johnny leading an assault on the Alderney State Correctional Facility to stop Billy from testifying, after which the survivors burn what is left of the clubhouse and plan to start a new chapter somewhere else. Our pages on that episode and on Johnny cover the plot in full.

The club also turns up in the second episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony, where GTA Wiki says Luis Lopez kills Lost members in Frosting on the Cake. In Chinatown Wars, Huang Lee fights them in Double Trouble and Convoy Conflict.

What happens to The Lost in GTA V?

By 2013 the club has a chapter in Blaine County, and it runs straight into Trevor Philips. Wikipedia's plot summary says Trevor sets out to take over the county's black markets by waging war on The Lost and other groups.

GTA Wiki breaks the war down by mission. In Mr. Philips, Trevor kills Johnny after he complains about Ashley, then goes after the club in Stab City, killing Terry Thorpe and, if the player chooses, Clay Simons. He and Wade blow up the trailers at The Range, the chapter's main base. In Nervous Ron he clears Lost members out of the Sandy Shores airfield and keeps it for himself, and in Friends Reunited he destroys the trailers of the club's new recruits. The wiki notes that the East Vinewood clubhouse in Los Santos carries on.

Is The Lost MC in GTA Online?

Yes, often as the enemy. GTA Online uses Lost bikers in gang attacks and many jobs. Wikipedia dates the Bikers update, which let players set up their own motorcycle clubs with clubhouses and businesses, to 4 October 2016, and GTA Wiki says The Lost are enemies in many of its club missions. Wikipedia also says that in Los Santos Drug Wars (13 December 2022) the player sabotages rival operations run by The Lost.

GTA Wiki lists further appearances: a chapter in Paleto Bay by 2019, Lost members as bounty targets in 2024, and Lost squatters to be cleared from a mansion in 2025. It also shows the club doing drug deals with the Los Santos Vagos.
