The Humane Labs Raid

The Humane Labs Raid is the third of the original GTA Online heists, added on 10 March 2015. Working for Agent 14, a crew of four knocks out power with an EMP, drops into the Humane Labs research facility and escapes with its files. It unlocks after The Prison Break and leads on to Series A Funding.

What is The Humane Labs Raid?

The Humane Labs Raid is part of the first set of GTA heists in GTA Online. Wikipedia dates the Heists update to 10 March 2015 and mentions a raid on a government-run laboratory in its plot summary. GTA Wiki lists it as the third heist, following The Prison Break.

What is Humane Labs?

Humane Labs and Research is a research site in the hills of Blaine County. Story-mode players know it from GTA V: GTA Wiki points out that the Online heist uses the same cooling tunnel seen in the story mission Monkey Business. The Online crew is told to break in and leave with the lab's files.

How does the finale work?

GTA Wiki splits the crew into a pilot and a gunner in the Valkyrie and a two-player ground team. The pilot sets off the EMP, which according to GTA Wiki blacks out the whole of San Andreas, even car headlights. The ground team parachutes in, gets through with keycards and takes the data, then leaves by swimming along the cooling tunnel towards the shore. Meanwhile the gunner fights off security helicopters and Merryweather reinforcements, and the Valkyrie picks the team up. The files are handed to Agent 14's colleague Karen Daniels at a reservoir.

What do you unlock?

Completing the raid unlocks Series A Funding and cuts the price of the Valkyrie, the Insurgent and other vehicles used in the job, GTA Wiki says. The final heist of the strand is The Pacific Standard Job.
