The Prison Break

The Prison Break is one of the five original GTA Online heists added in the Heists update on 10 March 2015. A crew of four breaks the scientist Maxim Rashkovsky out of Bolingbroke Penitentiary for Agent 14. It is the second heist in the strand and leads on to The Humane Labs Raid.

What is The Prison Break?

The Prison Break is a heist in GTA Online. It came with the Heists update, which Wikipedia dates to 10 March 2015 and which added five multi-part jobs for crews of four. Wikipedia's summary of the storyline mentions freeing a convicted spy from prison, and GTA Wiki identifies this as The Prison Break, the second heist after The Fleeca Job. Who is Maxim Rashkovsky?

Rashkovsky is a professor held in Bolingbroke Penitentiary, the large state prison in Blaine County. The job comes from Agent 14, a government agent who also gives the next heist. GTA Wiki notes that bugs can sometimes stop Rashkovsky from following the players, which can make the job impossible to finish.

How does the finale work?

Each player has a role, according to GTA Wiki. One goes in disguised as a prison officer and another as a prisoner, and together they reach Rashkovsky. A demolition player deals with the prison bus and steals a Buzzard helicopter to cover the escape, while the pilot flies a Velum plane for the getaway. The crew finally meets up on a beach before heading back to Los Santos.

What do you get for The Prison Break?

Finishing it unlocks The Humane Labs Raid, gives the Parole Day achievement or trophy and lowers the price of the Velum and the Prison Bus, says GTA Wiki. It also lists elite challenges: a fast finish, almost no damage to Rashkovsky and no deaths.
