What is V-Rock?

V-Rock is the loud end of the Vice City dial. It plays the hair metal and hard rock that filled arenas in the 1980s, and many players tie it to high-speed chases. It sits alongside the pop of Flash FM and the new wave of Wave 103.

Who hosts V-Rock?

The DJ is Lazlow, played (according to the GTA Wiki) by Lazlow Jones, the producer and talk show host who worked on the series' radio for many years. Wikipedia says the personalities of the callers on the talk stations of Vice City drew partly on him. On V-Rock he plays a young, over-excited metal fan. In Vice City Stories, set two years earlier, he is the junior partner to a seasoned rocker, Couzin Ed, whose banter, according to gta.wiki, nods to the film This Is Spinal Tap and the documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot.

Who are Love Fist?

Love Fist is a fictional Scottish glam metal band written for Vice City. Its songs play on V-Rock next to the real bands, and the group also turns up in the story, where Tommy Vercetti does jobs for them through their manager Kent Paul. See our Vice City missions guide.

Which V-Rock songs were removed?

According to gta.wiki, Ozzy Osbourne's "Bark at the Moon" is absent from the mobile ports, the PS2 Classics editions, the Rockstar Games Launcher release and The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

How was the Vice City radio received?

Wikipedia notes that critics widely praised the radio of Vice City and felt the licensed 1980s music suited the setting. Epic Records sold the station music as a seven-album box set released alongside the game in October 2002, and the talk radio grew to roughly three times the amount in GTA III.
