Banshee
The Banshee is Grand Theft Auto's long-running American sports car, modelled mostly on the Dodge Viper. It debuted in GTA III (2001), stayed through the 3D era, and returned under the Bravado badge in GTA IV, Chinatown Wars, GTA V and GTA Online, where Benny's can turn it into the Banshee 900R.
What is the Banshee in GTA?
The Banshee is a front-engined two-seater with a long bonnet, a sharp contrast to Italian-style mid-engined rivals such as the Infernus. It has been in nearly every main game since 2001. In the HD era it carries the badge of Bravado, the series' parody of Dodge. See our GTA vehicles hub for the wider car line-up.

Where can you find the Banshee?
In GTA III it spawns on Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale, and can be found near Kenji's casino in Torrington. Vice City hides one beside a mansion on Starfish Island. In San Andreas a navy-blue Banshee appears near the martial arts gym in Garcia once the driving school is done, and the car can be imported from Easter Basin for $36,000.
In GTA IV it is most often seen around Alderney City, Middle Park and South Bohan. Chinatown Wars sells it for $800 through the Auto Merchant. In GTA V it costs $90,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos and turns up around Rockford Hills and the Vinewood Hills. GTA Online prices it at $105,000 at Legendary Motorsport, and Benny's Original Motor Works can upgrade it to the Banshee 900R.
Which missions feature the Banshee?
In the very first GTA III cutscene, Miguel drives a grey Banshee that the player cannot take. San Andreas's Gray Imports gives CJ an explosion-proof Banshee to steal. In GTA IV, Brucie Kibbutz shows off a customised one in the opening scene of No. 1, and Niko later chases Luca in a stolen Banshee in Meltdown. In Chinatown Wars, Chan's modified Banshee features in Jackin' Chan.
Like the Infernus, it is a regular on car-collection lists, from Import/Export in GTA III to Simeon's export requests in GTA Online.
