Friends Reunited is a Trevor Philips mission in Grand Theft Auto V (2013). Wade tells Trevor that his old partner is living in Los Santos as Michael De Santa. Trevor destroys the Lost MC's trailer park in Blaine County with sticky bombs, then drives to the city, looks out over it from the hills and moves into a flat in Vespucci Beach.

What is Friends Reunited in GTA V?

Friends Reunited is the mission that takes Trevor Philips out of the desert and into the main story of Grand Theft Auto V. Trevor has believed for years that his partner Michael Townley died in the botched robbery seen in the prologue. He has asked his friend Wade Hebert to find out more, and this mission is where the answer arrives. Our GTA V missions page lists it as the point where Trevor reaches Los Santos.

What happens in Friends Reunited?

gta.wiki describes the opening at Trevor's trailer in Sandy Shores. Wade reports that no Michael Townley of the right age lives in the city, but a family man called Michael De Santa fits every detail. Trevor leaves his business partner Ron in charge and sets off with Wade.

First he settles a score with The Lost MC, the biker gang he has already clashed with in Blaine County. At their trailer camp in Blaine County, he creeps between the caravans with a silenced pistol, attaches sticky bombs to the trailers and sets them off once he is clear. The gang that players of The Lost and Damned will know loses its northern base.

Trevor and Wade then drive south. In the Vinewood Hills Trevor stops, climbs a slope above Los Santos and announces to the city below that he is coming for Michael. The two end up at an apartment in Vespucci Beach that belongs to Wade's cousin Floyd.

What are the gold medal objectives?

The trailer park section rewards a quiet approach. gta.wiki lists four goals for a gold medal:

The same page advises using a suppressed weapon and shooting out lights to stay hidden, and saving the detonation until every bomb is planted.

What does Friends Reunited unlock?

This mission changes a lot at once. gta.wiki lists these rewards:

Floyd's flat becomes a Trevor safehouse, the Flight School opens for all three characters, and Franklin returns to free roam, so you can switch between all three leads again. Michael and Franklin are paid their shares from The Jewel Store Job. Sticky Bombs go on sale at Ammu-Nation, with Proximity Mines added in the enhanced version. Franklin may also buy the police impound lot if he has finished a related side job. Floyd joins Director Mode.

Who are Wade and Floyd?

Wade Hebert is one of Trevor's hangers-on in Blaine County, and in this mission he is the one who tracks down Michael's new identity and supplies the explosives. Floyd Hebert is his cousin, whose Vespucci Beach flat Trevor simply takes over. Both men stay part of Trevor's story afterwards: gta.wiki lists Floyd and Wade among the helpers on the docks job that follows, The Merryweather Heist, where Trevor's new base at Floyd's flat is the meeting point for the crew.

Why is Friends Reunited memorable?

The hilltop shot of Trevor above the city is the moment most players remember. gta.wiki notes that Trevor's view of the city from the hills was put forward as a nominee for Most Memorable Moment in a 2013 awards round. It also marks the end of Trevor's solo opening, after which the three leads share the map.
