K-Rose
K-Rose is the country and western station in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004). It broadcasts from rural Bone County and is hosted by Mary-Beth Maybell, a loud, opinionated Southern presenter. The playlist mixes classic country from Hank Williams, Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson with 1970s and 1980s hits from Jerry Reed, Juice Newton and The Statler Brothers.
What is K-Rose?
K-Rose is the country music station of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. In the game's fiction it broadcasts from Bone County, the desert region near Las Venturas, out to the whole state of San Andreas. Its humour pokes fun at redneck stereotypes, with jingles that joke about drinking, guns and farm life, yet it wears its cowboy identity with pride. For the other stations in the game, see the GTA radio stations hub.
Who hosts K-Rose?
The DJ is Mary-Beth Maybell, a fictional Southern woman with strong views on marriage, plastic surgery and almost anything else. The GTA Wiki credits the voice to Riette Burdick. Between songs she talks about her family, including her nine children, and drifts into odd asides; at one point she quotes Carl Sagan. One of her jokes is repeated almost word for word by K-DST host Tommy Smith, which fans read as a hint that the two were once married.

This is a selection from the GTA Wiki tracklist. The GTA Wiki also flags two recordings that are out of time for a game set in 1992: a Mickey Gilley track from a 1999 album and a Merle Haggard track taken from a 2004 compilation.
Did K-Rose lose any songs?
No. According to the GTA Wiki, K-Rose is one of only three San Andreas stations that kept every song from the original game as of The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, along with SF-UR and CSR 103.9. Stations such as K-DST and Radio Los Santos lost tracks when licences expired.
Where does K-Rose play in the game?
Any vehicle can tune to it, and the GTA Wiki says it is the house station at the Lil' Probe'Inn bar. Its spirit carried on in GTA V through Rebel Radio, which also plays Jerry Reed and Willie Nelson. A K-Rose T-shirt was later added to GTA Online as an anniversary crate-drop item.
How was the San Andreas radio received?
Wikipedia records that San Andreas has eleven radio stations and twenty DJs, with more than three times as many licensed songs as GTA III. Country returns in GTA VI, where Rockstar's official music page lists a country station called Back Country, as covered in the GTA radio stations hub.
