Playboy X
Playboy X, real name Trey Stewart, is a drug boss in North Holland in Grand Theft Auto IV (2008). He hires Niko Bellic for several jobs, then asks him to kill his old mentor Dwayne Forge. In "The Holland Play" the player chooses whether Niko kills Forge or Playboy. Postell Pringle voices him.
Who is Playboy X?
Playboy X is the street name of Trey Stewart, a cocaine dealer who runs North Holland in Grand Theft Auto IV. The GTA Wiki (gta.wiki) says he was born around 1983 and grew up under the wing of Dwayne Forge, who taught him the trade. When Forge went to prison, Playboy took the business over and stopped visiting him.
He likes to present himself as a businessman and lives in a penthouse in Algonquin. According to the same wiki, he meets Niko Bellic through a deal in the mission "Blow Your Cover" and starts giving him work.
What missions does Playboy X give?
| Mission | Note |
|---|---|
| Blow Your Cover | First meeting |
| Deconstruction for Beginners | Gives the mission |
| Photo Shoot | Gives the mission |
| Undress to Kill | Phone call |
| The Holland Play | Kill Forge or Playboy |
Mission names follow the GTA Wiki. Our GTA IV missions guide places them in the story.
Should you kill Playboy X or Dwayne Forge?
Once Forge is free and back in the neighbourhood, Playboy sees him as a threat and offers Niko money to kill him. Forge, who has his own grievances, asks Niko to kill Playboy instead. The GTA Wiki sets out the two outcomes:
| Choice | Result |
|---|---|
| Kill Dwayne | Playboy pays the agreed fee but breaks off contact, saying he cannot stay friends with the man who killed his mentor. |
| Kill Playboy | Niko fights through the penthouse and kills Playboy. Forge regains control and gives Niko the penthouse as a safehouse. |
The choice is one of several moral decisions in GTA IV. Neither option changes the main ending, and our safehouses page lists the places Niko can live.
Who voices Playboy X?
The GTA Wiki credits Postell Pringle with both the voice and the motion capture. Playboy also has a brief cameo in The Lost and Damned, where he turns down a meeting with Johnny Klebitz.
