Voodoo
A long 1960s-style lowrider coupé, the Voodoo first appeared in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002). It is closely tied to street gangs, from Vice City's Haitians to the Ballas of San Andreas. In the HD games it wears a Declasse badge and takes its shape mainly from the 1964 Chevrolet Impala, with a rear end from the 1960 car.
What is the Voodoo in GTA?
The Voodoo is a big, low American coupé that has become the series' default gang car. It is a lowrider in spirit, and in San Andreas (2004) it can be fitted with hydraulics. In the HD era it is badged as a Declasse, the GTA brand that stands in for Chevrolet, according to the police scanner in GTA IV. By GTA V (2013) every Voodoo on the street is rusty and debadged, a car waiting for a rebuild.

| San Andreas | 2004 | Ballas, Vagos and Grove cars; hydraulics possible |
| Vice City Stories | 2006 | Returns in 1984 Vice City |

What real car is the Voodoo based on?
The GTA Wiki traces the 3D-era car to a 1960 Chevrolet two-door hardtop, mixing trim from the Impala, Biscayne and Bel Air. The HD car follows the 1964 Impala for its body and roofline but keeps the six-light tail of the 1960 model, and its grille and headlights resemble a 1964 Rambler Classic. Wikipedia describes the Impala as Chevrolet's full-size flagship, first built for the 1958 model year and one of the best-selling American cars.
How does the Voodoo drive?
In the 3D games it is a soft, wallowing cruiser. The GTA IV version is very heavy, slow to pick up speed and hard to dent, though the engine starts smoking after a few frontal crashes. The GTA Wiki notes that the GTA V car is much quicker than its rusty paint suggests, with good acceleration and cornering.
Where can you find the Voodoo?
In Vice City it turns up where the Haitians live, in Little Haiti. In Los Santos it is a common sight in gang neighbourhoods. In GTA IV it spawns around Northwood and the Holland districts of Algonquin, in Broker and in Alderney. In GTA V and GTA Online the rusty car can be bought and then rebuilt into the Voodoo Custom at Benny's, added with the Lowriders update.
Notable missions
In Vice City, "Trojan Voodoo" has Tommy and the Cubans borrow three Voodoos to pass as Haitians and get into their factory. Haitian Voodoos also storm the deal in "Guardian Angels" for Ricardo Diaz. In San Andreas the Ballas chase CJ in a pink Voodoo in "Sweet & Kendl" and use it again for a drive-by in "Drive-Thru", while Vagos cars stand outside the house in "Burning Desire". In GTA IV, Niko drives Elizabeta Torres's white and pink Voodoo in "Have a Heart".
