Out of Commission is the final story mission of Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) if you choose Revenge. After Pegorino's attack on Roman's wedding kills Kate McReary, Niko, Roman and Little Jacob track Jimmy Pegorino to an old casino in Alderney and chase him to Happiness Island, where Niko kills him. In the Deal ending, A Revenger's Tragedy takes its place.

What is Out of Commission?

Out of Commission is the last mission of Grand Theft Auto IV on the Revenge path. You reach it by refusing the deal with Dimitri Rascalov in One Last Thing and then playing through A Dish Served Cold and the wedding mission, Mr. & Mrs. Bellic. In this ending, Mafia boss Jimmy Pegorino goes after Niko at Roman's wedding, and the attack kills Kate McReary instead, as our GTA IV page explains. Out of Commission is Niko's answer.

Wikipedia describes the Revenge path in the same terms. Niko turns down the heroin deal and kills Dimitri instead, Pegorino strikes at the wedding and kills Kate by mistake, and Niko then tracks Pegorino down and kills him. Out of Commission is that last step.

Who gives Out of Commission?

Little Jacob calls Niko to start it, according to gta.wiki, and Niko can also call Jacob himself. Jacob and Roman have tracked Pegorino's men down, and Roman insists on coming along even though Niko does not want him there.

What happens in the mission?

Niko meets the others in Alderney and tails Pegorino's men by car across the state. The trail leads to an abandoned casino. Niko sends Jacob and Roman away and goes in alone, fighting through the guards until he finds Pegorino.

Pegorino runs to the roof and escapes by speedboat. Niko follows along the shore on a dirt bike, and Roman and Jacob catch up in a helicopter. Gta.wiki describes Niko jumping from a ramp, grabbing the helicopter and climbing in, then taking the controls while Jacob shoots at the boat. Pegorino fires back with a rocket launcher and sets the helicopter alight.

The chase ends on Happiness Island. Niko lands and follows Pegorino on foot towards the Statue of Happiness, where he wounds him in a gunfight and then kills him in the closing cutscene. Roman and Jacob comfort Niko as the sun sets over Liberty City.

What are the rewards for Out of Commission?

What happens after Out of Commission?

According to gta.wiki, Roman calls afterwards to say that Mallorie is pregnant and that they will name a daughter Kate. Packie McReary also calls, grieving for his sister. Wikipedia sums up both endings the same way: Mallorie is pregnant, and Niko promises to stay close to his family in the city.

What is the Deal-ending counterpart, A Revenger's Tragedy?

If you take the deal instead, the last mission is A Revenger's Tragedy. In that ending Roman is killed at the wedding, and the target is Dimitri Rascalov rather than Pegorino. Gta.wiki says Dimitri kills Pegorino at the same abandoned casino, and the chase again ends on Happiness Island, with Jacob flying the helicopter and shooting down Dimitri's own helicopter. The two missions mirror each other closely.
