GTA 6 map size
Rockstar has not published an official size for the GTA 6 map. The game is set in Leonida, a fictional state with six named regions, including Vice City. A Rockstar developer told a YouTuber at an August 2026 preview that it is twice the size of GTA V's map, according to Kotaku.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
There is no official number. Rockstar has shown regions but no full map. After previews in August 2026, Kotaku reported a Rockstar developer, quoted by a YouTuber, saying the map is twice the size of GTA V's and three times that of Red Dead Redemption 2. That is a preview comment, not a measured figure. Square kilometre numbers you see online come from leaks or fan estimates, so we do not use them.
Which regions has Rockstar named?
| Region | Wiki page |
|---|---|
| Vice City | Vice City |
| Leonida Keys | Leonida Keys |
| Grassrivers | Grassrivers |
| Port Gellhorn | Port Gellhorn |
| Ambrosia | Ambrosia |
| Mount Kalaga | Mount Kalaga |

Rockstar's descriptions of each region are on GTA 6 map and regions.
How does it compare with past GTA maps?
GTA VI covers a whole state, as San Andreas did with three cities. The 2002 Vice City had only the city and its islands. GTA V had Los Santos and Blaine County. Rockstar has not given official sizes for those maps either, so we do not list figures.
Is there an official GTA 6 map?
Not yet. Maps called leaks are fan-made or come from old footage. We will add the real map after the 19 November 2026 release.
